David B. Partlow, Jr., MD

Karl W. Harbin, MD
Dr. Harbin grew up in Huntsville, Alabama.  He attended The University of Alabama for his undergraduate degree and The University of Alabama Medical School - Birmingham.  He was resident and chief resident at The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.   Dr. Harbin enjoys Alabama sports, hunting, traveling, cooking and the beach.  He is married to Mary Jane.  They have one son in college and lost their 16 year old daughter in a car wreck in 2001.

James E. Poist, MD
Dr. Jim grew up in Birmingham.  He earned his undergraduate degree at Birmingham-Southern College, and his medical degree at The University of Alabama School of Medicine.  He completed his residency at The University of Mississippi Medical Center.  He and his wife Pam have three children.  He is an active member in his church, St. Francis University Parish.  In his free time, he enjoys cycling, hunting, and spending time with his family.  He is the brother of the late Dr. Michael G. Poist.  Dr. Mike practiced with the group from 1991-2003.

Steven F. Madden, MD
Dr. Madden joined the practice in 1999.  He was born and raised in Leesburg, Florida.  He attended college at The University of Central Florida in Orlando followed by medical school at The University of Florida.  His residency training was at The University of Utah in Salt Lake City.  He is married with two children, and is a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  He enjoys running, cycling and spending time with his family.

Charles J. Mentel, III, MD
Dr. Mentel, a New Orleans, Louisiana native, completed his undergraduate coursework with degrees at The University of Alabama and University of Alabama-Birmingham.  He finished medical school at Louisiana State University in New Orleans and then successfully completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of Florida in Jacksonville.  He recently completed the 2009 and 2010 years as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at DCH.  In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and children on Lake Tuscaloosa and attending University of Alabama football games.  

DeAnn M. DiPiazza, MD
Dr. DiPiazza grew up in Remlap, Alabama.  She attended Gardendale High School.  She earned a BS degree at Birmingham-Southern College and proceeded to obtain her medical degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. She attends St. Francis University Parish and is involved in the church nursery.  She enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, gardening and playing the piano.

Kimberly L. Ray, MD
Dr. Ray is a lifelong resident of Tuscaloosa. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and Masters of Public Health from UAB.  She then completed her medical training at the University of Alabama School of Medicine and the UAB Dept of OB/GYN Residency Program. Dr. Ray especially enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. They are very active in their church, Valley View Baptist, and in their community.
